Peggy & Tim - aka My Mom & Dad :) - Twin Cities Photographer

This shoot was my first venture to the historic downtown Elk River area in I don't know how long. I worked at Kemper Drug for a few years when I was in High School and really what a change! I think this spot is super cute and they're are so many fun little nooks and crannies. Check out Bryan's Senior photoshoot a few post previous for other shots around this spot.

I had some extra time one weekend and requested my parents for shoot at this spot. My mom said "Sure" for both her and my dad, with out consulting him of course:) and away we went! It's shoots like this that make me so happy that I get to do shoots "just because".

My mom said to me once "As parents there are some things that we'll do for our kids, just because they're our kids and we love them". This was in reference to her and my dad taking Juliana to a Big Cat Rescue when they were in Florida. So, maybe that's why they did this photoshoot or maybe my dad really LOVES having photos taken {(insert sarcasm;)]. I'm going to go with because they love me:). And after everything was said and done I'm so proud to have the parents I do, and the parents who always have any always will do anything for me:) Love you guys!

Sarah+Lucas' Wedding - Minnesota Wedding Photographer

Sarah and Lucas got married on a beautiful, well for end of November, day at the Little Mountain Chapel in Monticello, MN. Sarah has been a good friend of my sister Ashley's for as long as I can remember and Lucas and I went to High School together and know what it's like to have a little too much fun:).

Before every wedding I get a little excited and anxious about how the day will go and to be 100% honest Sarah and Lucas' day was pretty much near perfect. The bride was beautiful, the groom was handsome, Lucas' daughter and Sarah's new step daughter was as cute as could be and their families were wonderful.

The reception was held at Carousel Works in Big Lake, MN. The personal attendants and some of the bridesmaids were nice enough to gift some additional shoot time at the reception so we could capture some dancin' up moments and I'm soooo glad they did!

Baking Cookies @ the Ferguson House - Minneapolis Photographer

Baking and Christmas cookies just make me feel at ease during the hustle of the holiday season. I think I might even enjoy it more when more skillful people are doing the baking. So, here we have a chef and an artist making cookies. Somehow there still ends up to be an "ameba" and a "barf" cookie but hey, that's what happens when two silly friends make cookies together :)

Bryan Class of 2010 - Minnesota Senior Photographer

Bryan had his senior photo session on a chilly Thanksgiving day in Downtown Elk River. His sister, Kelly, was nice enough to tag along and even had a fleece blanket to bundle him up with while we were walking around. Now, that's love! Despite the cold we managed to have a rockin' shoot!

The Brenteson Family

When I arrived at the Brenteson house for their photoshoot Sophia asked me if I remembered when Peggy brought those dresses over. I said "yes, I remember, do you?" She said she didn't and giggled. I'm pretty sure she did!

Our photoshoot was filled with dresses, cardigans, doggies, tricks on the swing-set, silly faces and hugs that were a bit too loving (from Sidney and Matt)!

When Brenda contacted me about doing a family picture this year she mentioned "the guys would all like to hold their deer mounts and we'll be wearing camo". Hmm... I thought, Ok! I will always give my clients what they want, with my little twist of course:). So, here you have it, a shoot with camo and deer mounts and a little set of antlers for Brenda!

Sunday happened to be the perfect day for a photo shoot as well! I met Lori and her family at her beautiful home in Elk River. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with on a beautiful fall day!

Perhaps the location and the people look a little familiar? Well, that's because both are! My Aunt, Eileen, had let me know that she wanted to get her family together soon to a photo session but didn't know when everyone would be available at the same time. So, when I she realized I was in the neighborhood for Brandon and Sarah's engagement session everything just seemed to fall in place. I have to agree with her that it couldn't have been planned any better!

Yey! I'm so excited for Sarah and Brandon and their wedding coming up next summer! Ok, ok so my excitement might have something to do with the fact that Brandon is my cousin and Sarah is a super awesome girl:). We had beautiful weather this weekend so we made our way over to the Schulze farm to do their engagement session and had a blast.

Contrats guys! I can't wait for the wedding next June!

Baby Kai - Twin Cities Childrens Photographer

Kai is just 3 months old and one of the strongest babies I've ever met! His mom, Melissa, told me that they chose his name from a list they had because it seem to fit him the best and that Kai means "strong". I don't think they're could have been a better match! Kai's photoshoot was super fun and he had a ton of expressions to share:)

First Fall Photoshoot with Juliana - Minneapolis Photographer

Oh fall how you sneak up every year and leave so fast. Juliana and I ventured out in our new 'hood for this shoot last week. I just love how anywhere can be the perfect backdrop. Thank's for going out with me Jul, I know I can always count on you to be my practice model.

Baby Gabe - 3 Months Old

Baby Gabe is such a content little cutie! We were able to take some shots in his room as well as get out and enjoy the weather as the sun was going down:)
